Programs

Your sponsorhsip of $25 a month
provides a child the following:
  • Food
  • Shelter
  • Medical Care
  • Clothes
  • Education

The  feeding program  continues to  be our
largest  outreach as  we  provide meals for
the  children  of   Bombardopolis,  Haiti.  It
brings  hope   to  more  than  hundreds  of
children  who  are vulnerable of dying  from
      starvation.

Debbie   (left),  a  nurse,  was   one  of    the
volunteers from Michigan to participate in the
medical care program  in Aug 2008.
The boy
(right)    from   a    nearby   community   had
significant   infections  on  his  legs and  feet
that could've been prevented  with accessible
basic   medicine.  Despite   of   the   severity
of   his   condition, the   boy   did   not  once
     complain  but  was  very  thankful.

The education program provides sponsored children the following:
  • Free basic education
  • School uniform
  • School supplies such as textbooks

We also reach out to the widows and  widowers,
another   neglected   group,  by  providing   their
basic  needs, i.e. food  and clothing.  This gives
us  an  opportunity to meet  their  spiritual need,
   turning  their  despair  into  hope.

Warehouse

The Warehouse was completed in July 2009.
We  are  now  able  to  securely  store  non-
perishable items and future building supplies.

                Thank  you  to all  partners
      who generously  supported  this project!

Mi
ssionary House

OIH  has  been blessed  with  another  building
project.  The  construction  of   the  missionary
house    started    during    the    second   half
  of  2009.
An incredible  amount  of  back-breaking  labor
has  gone  into   building   the  OIH  missionary
house.  There are no powered tools available in
Bombardopolis  for  the  types  of  construction
required,  i.e. digging  a  spectic  in  solid  rock
was   done   with   only   a   rock  axe,  sledge
  hammer  and  pike.
