A Home for Guerda and Precious - NEW

We are deeply thankful to those who were touched by Guerda's story and donated generously toward a home for Guerda and her daughter Precious.  Almost $800 have been raised in February and March.  However, we still need $1200 to build this home.  Please help make this gift to a young mother possible. The small sacrifice that you make today will go towards a home that will impact Guerda and her baby for a lifetime. Read Guerda's story.

Meet Yodi - NEW

Looking at Yodi's countagious smile and vibrant personality, it is hard to believe that he is the same boy that was dropped off at the OIH center 5 years ago.  Yodi and his brother Samuel arrived at the OIH orphanage on Jan 15, 2007 at the ages of 2 and 3 years old, respectively.  They were abandoned by their mother, locked in their house.

Yodi is now in the first grade and excels in school.  He loves counting and singing.  When he grows up, he would like to be a builder so he can help build houses for orphans like him.  Read more about Yodi.

2011 Year in Review - NEW
Special Prayer - NEW
There is an on-going 30-day evangelistic event happening at the OIH center.  Every night the place is flooded with people who are earnestly seeking God.  Please pray for the leaders and the attendees that they be moved by the Holy Spirit to be the hands and feet of God here on earth.

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.' "  - Matthew 28:18-20, NIV

DLO LAVI-A (water for life)
Since March 2011, when OIH completed digging its first well, the people of Bombardopolis, have been enjoying the healthy water that is provided by our facility.  OIH opens its facility to the public several hours a day so folks from the community can bring their water containers to the well to fill to take back to their family.

The natives refer to the well as dlo lavi-a, which means "water for life."  What a blessing it is to be able to provide them a healthier life!
